Samsung planned a new first-party 25W Qi2 wireless charger with the Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation Galaxy S26 series in early 2026, and is now anticipated to introduce a 25W Qi2 wireless charger for the series.

The company is expected to launch the Galaxy S26 series sometime in late January 2026 at the Galaxy Unpacked event. The lineup will include three models: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

It’s already been revealed that all of these models will feature built-in magnets for full Qi2 wireless charging support. Meanwhile, a new report from WinFuture revealed that the company is now working on a new Qi2 wireless charger that supports 25W fast wireless charging, which means it could use the Qi2.2 standard.

According to the report, this first-party accessory is called the Samsung Magnetic Wireless Charger, and it holds a model number EP-P2900. This suggests that the upcoming Galaxy S26 series will support premium magnetic alignment, which is required for the newer Qi2.2 25W speeds.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to support full 25W, while the standard and plus models could be limited to around 20W. However, Samsung has yet to release any official statement regarding Qi2 charging support for the Galaxy S26 series; it will be interesting to see what happens next. Recently, it was reported that Samsung is considering offering a battery upgrade, i.e., 5,200mAh, to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
