Samsung’s One UI 8.5 beta removed two modes from the Camera

Samsung pushes off the latest One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S25 series, and offers several new features, but it also removes two family features, including Dual Recording and Single Take from the stock Camera.

The Korean tech giant has been working on its latest iteration, One UI 8.5, for so long, and now it has opened the beta program for the Galaxy S25 models in selected regions, including the US, UK, Korea, and Germany, and will soon expand to more eligible countries.

Samsung offers several convenient features, UI enhancements, tweaks, new features, and whatnot to enhance the user experience with the One UI 8.5 beta. However, apart from offering the new novelties, the company has also removed two features with this update, which are as follows –

  • Dual Recording
  • Single Take from the stock camera app

A report revealed that the latest One UI 8.5 beta lacks these two already existing features. According to the report, the former lets you record video from two cameras simultaneously and also allows you to pair the front camera with any rear camera or use any two rear cameras together.

However, it has yet to be confirmed whether these features are removed intentionally, as the company hasn’t released any official statement to explain the reason behind this removal. It remains to be seen whether the next beta update will bring back these options.
