Samsung is continuously looking to expand the latest December 2025 security update to even more Galaxy phones and tablets. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 have now started getting the ongoing update.
Well, Samsung is spotted (via official community) providing the December 2025 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 in Europe, following its home country, South Korea, while it’s expected that more eligible countries will join over the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the latest December 2025 security update firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7 has been identified with the F966BXXS6AYKF and F766BXXS6AYKF version numbers, respectively.
Specifically, the update is, however, minor and doesn’t bring any major features and changes and is a part of Samsung’s monthly patch, but it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and efficiency by packing a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities to provide a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against external threats or attacks.
Other than that, the update further adds stability and reliability to the entire system behavior and brings certain performance optimizations that eventually leads to a smoother, stable, and optimized user experience.
Nevertheless, Samsung is currently focusing on delivering the latest One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series in four out of six countries, including South Korea, Germany, the US, and the UK. Notably, the expected timeline for the One UI 8.5 beta in India and Poland (phase 2 countries) is December 22nd, but it remains to be seen what happens in the future.
