Samsung pushes the December 2025 Security Update for more Galaxy devices

Samsung is appearing to expand the latest December 2025 security update to even more Galaxy devices, while the update is now available for the Galaxy S21 FE, Tab S6 Lite, and XCover 7 models in a few Asian countries.

Well, it looks like the December update is growing continuously as more Galaxy devices are joining the list; meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and Galaxy XCover 7 units have started getting the update in some countries of Asia, including Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Malaysia. Notably, the update is expected to follow more eligible regions over the coming weeks.

More specifically, the December 2025 security update for the Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and Galaxy XCover 7 has been recognized with the G990EXXSKHYK5, P625XXS7CYK1, and G556BXXSCDYK5 version numbers, respectively.

However, the December update is a part of Samsung’s monthly patch, which doesn’t bring any major features and changes but it significantly focuses on improving the device’s overall security, core functionality, and performance by apparently packing a handful of fixes for all the security vulnerabilities in order to offer a more secure user experience, while also protecting the device against threats.

In addition to that, the latest update further brings certain performance optimizations and adds stability to the entire system behavior that eventually leads to a smoother, stable, and efficient experience for the users.

Currently, Samsung has already released the One UI 8.5 beta for the Galaxy S25 series in phase 1 countries, while phase 2 regions will follow soon in the near future.
