As usual, Samsung releases its security maintenance release every month for all the eligible Galaxy devices, excluding the models whose software support has already ended.
Specifically, security updates are necessary and meant to boost the entire system’s security via several fixes and other relevant improvements. Samsung’s monthly patches are minor updates, and so is the latest December 2025 security update.
