Samsung Galaxy A52s was launched in 2021, and now it is getting updates across the Europe region and global versions with One Ui 3.0 with Android 11. It received One Ui 4.0 bundled with Android 12 early this year, while One Ui 3.0 to 4.0 with Android 12 was a huge leap. However, it continues to get regular updates and security patches and expectedly will still get for the next two years. The latest update is A528BXXU1CVE2 in May 2022 this year.

Now let us talk about improvements in the new security update. While this update brings more security features, some minor bug fixes, and some visual changes, it mostly emphasizes security features being up to date. Some of the minor changes are;

Samsung Gallery App gets new features such as portrait effects, lightning, and share albums as links. More emojis, a smart switch for transferring old data, and Samsung health for better monitoring.

Samsung native apps improvement such as Samsung Pay, Samsung members, calculator, voice recorder, and galaxy wearables may get updated as per Samsung.

So nothing of a major improvement over from One UI 4.0 to 4.1, mostly just regular security updates, such as basic protection from ransomware and security certificates for sites.

Nevertheless, the phone still holds its ground with specs like an octa-core Snapdragon 750g processor (8nm), AMOLED display, Adreno 619, sporting 120 Hz refresh rate, and 25w fast charge support. This could be a better buy for someone on a budget who still wants an updated phone and doesn’t want to pay for a flagship.
