Samsung Galaxy S20 FE June 2022 Security Firmware for LTE & 5G Models in Europe & Russia

Samsung Galaxy S20 FE, 4G and 5G both versions have got an update in Russia and Europe. The update is a regular security level patch and comes with build no. concerning their corresponding models are

  • S20 FE 5G firmware no. G781BXXU4FVE8 (Europe)
  • S20 LTE 4G firmware no. G780FXXU9DVE7 (Russia)

This update is currently available in select regions and is expected to release in other regions. A few days ago, we covered an update for the Galaxy S20 series where only Galaxy S20 FE was left out, and now it also got updated; we will keep the users updated on this series.

This month’s update fixes the security and privacy-related issues and comes with a Google security patch and minor UI tweaking

According to Samsung’s and Google’s report, its June 2022 security patch fixes dozens of vulnerabilities related to user privacy and data security, such as SIM card data access, remote code execution, improper access controls, MAC address information, camera access, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Samsung account, etc. and improvements in native or stock apps

. It fixes system lag and app crashes and also improves overall system stability.

The update is for security and privacy issues fixes but is not limited to it. It can also include general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

Galaxy S20 FE was released in October 2020 and is expected to get updated in terms of the latest OS and UI per Samsung’s software distribution policy.

Users can also check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install or turning auto-updates or notifications on in your device’s settings.
