Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 has received an update for July 2022. This update comes with a security level patch 2022-06-01 for Model no. 

SM-F916U1. The update comes with firmware no. F916USQS2HVF3 for the Locked carrier variant & F916U1UES2HVF6 for the Carrier unlocked variant in the US.

According to the changelog, this Android Security Patch Level: July 1 2022, brings the following improvements for both variants ;

  • Overall stability of functions improved.
  • The security of your device has been improved.
  • New and enhanced features have been introduced.
  • Further improvements to performance have been applied.

Overall stability and security of the device have been improved with this patch.

About The Device;

Galaxy Z Fold 2 was the first to introduce the Auto framing feature within the Camera app, which allowed users to shoot videos in Flex mode, i.e. hands-free, while the user or the subjects remained in focus as the Camera could detect when people would enter or leave the frame of view.

This fact shows that the device’s hardware still holds well in the market. After all, it was a flagship smartphone.
