Galaxy Z Fold 4 Gets September Security Update In The US

Another day of updates for Samsung devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 finally received the Android September 2022 security patch in the United States. However, the update has already rolled out in South Korea a week ago.

The Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is receiving the September 2022 security patch update on the Verizon network with firmware F936USQU1AVIG. Fixed several vulnerabilities found in recent months concerning the operating system and manufacturer customization.

As always, the changelog mentions some generic stability improvements and some bug fixes, but without going into the specifics.

The latest September 2022 update fixes more than 24 vulnerabilities: MTP driver issues have been fixed, memory access errors in various functions, improper access control, SystemUI privilege issues, and issues in Photo Editor, a bug that could have allowed an attacker to initiate emergency calls remotely and beyond. This time, none is marked as critical among the several vulnerabilities cited by Samsung.
