Samsung started distributing the One UI 5.0 update with Android 13 a few days ago, and the rollout is still in process. Now without any late, the South Korean firm has already started the development of its news customized skin which reads the name One UI 5.1. It is expected that it will be the first version update of One UI 5.0 only if the company tends to keep the version number the same (currently, they are not planning to change). Now let’s take a look at its rollout time or eligible device information.

When will the update rollout to Galaxy smartphones?

The One UI 5.1 update will first roll out to the Galaxy S23 series devices, as per the reports. As we all know, the series is currently under wraps and will be introduced in the market soon. The One UI 5.1 rollout may also start after the upcoming flagship’s launch. But, as the respective flagship will take time to be available in the market, the manufacturer will probably launch it to the currently available devices for its speedy rollout.

Considering the device that will support this new update, Galaxy S23 is expected to be the front head in this row. Besides this upcoming flagship, the One UI 5.1 will surely get support in most of the Galaxy devices launched in or after 2021, particularly flagship and mid-range devices such as Galaxy A52/A53 and Galaxy A72/A73 that are launched during the mentioned span.

In addition to those, it is also expected that select mid-range and flagship devices launched in 2019 and 2020 that are promised to get three major OS updates will also get the support of One UI 5.1. In comparison to its predecessor, One UI 5.0, this new One UI 5.1 update will bring more essential and customizable features with it.
