Galaxy Z Fold 5 joined the rumors, reported to get a 108MP primary sensor

Every year, Samsung announces two of its premium device series- Galaxy S and Galaxy Z Foldable. The Galaxy S series usually launches at the start of the year, which is expected on February 1st. Besides, the company announces the Galaxy Z Foldable series during the 3rd quarter of the respective year. Amongst them, the Galaxy S series gets a total of three devices- Galaxy S, Galaxy S Plus, and Galaxy S Ultra, while the Foldable series gets just two- Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold. 

Galaxy Z Fold 5: when will it be launched officially

As we all know, the company habitually introduces the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold devices in the third quarter of the year. Hence, the next-5th generation of this series may also officially be introduced in August or September. Recently we have received some leaked information regarding the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device, a member of this series. Let’s take a brief look at the information we have got. 

According to a well-known tipster SkyPayer, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 device is expected to feature Qualcomm’s future Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset. Not only that, but the company is also planning to increase its photographic abilities by providing the 108MP primary sensor, which is more than double its predecessor’s 50MP quality sensor. This new sensor will enhance the image’s quality.

Let’s see what else can be expected from Galaxy Z Fold 5 device 

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 device will probably be launched with One UI 5.1.1 on top of Android 13 or Android 13L (not confirmed yet). It will get the same triple camera setup on the back as the Galaxy Z Fold 4 has, out of which one will be a 108MP primary sensor, a 10MP telephoto shooter with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultrawide camera. It will also get the same 4MP under-display selfie camera as its predecessor, with no change expected in it. 

Apart from these, we are expecting to see slight changes in its outer display selfie camera with some improvements. It may get a 16MP selfie camera instead of the 10MP one. There are no changes expected in its battery capacity as well. It will remain the same 4400mAh battery. The device will be waterproof as usual but not dustproof. However, The information has yet to be confirmed; in that case, if any changes are made to happen in it, we will notify you within due course of time.
