Samsung One UI 5.1 & 5.1.1

Max Weinbach a writer of 9to5google- works part-time on some long-form content like reviews, editorials, and opinions.

In his tweet, he suggested that Samsung is trying to just provide the updates with minimum tweaking to OneUI 5.0 as soon as possible, and then it will add major features to the next version, which he said was OneUI 5.1. His tweet ending with 5.1.1 hinted at the special ‘Android L‘ version for the foldable & tablets.

‘My theory is they’re working on getting 5.0 out fast and then pushing new features to 5.1 and 5.1.1 later next year.’

Max Weinbach, 9to5.

If the current revelations by the writer about the OneUI 5.0 are indeed the truth, then we can conclude that One UI 5.0 doesn’t have anything significant to offer. It has entered undersized advancements in all situations with vibrancy advancements only.

He further added about the presentation of OneUI 5.0.

“One UI 5 as well. Don’t think it’s a big deal.”

It seems that Samsung is concentrating on providing the updates early to flagships and then pushing it to mid to entry-level devices.

Affordable And Flagship Folding Phone

Samsung is facing trouble losing to Apple & is focused on its flagship devices Galaxy S & Z series, along with the mid-range Galaxy A smartphones, which did well in terms of sales.

It makes sense that Samsung is trying to game up its hardware for unreleased Galaxy devices & the rumors of introducing an affordable foldable hybrid between the Galaxy Z & A series.

Also, this way, Samsung can please its customers by providing updates sharply & fastly.

While losing to iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro & iPhone 12 for the top 4 spots in terms of market sales shares & Industry watchers believe the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip will be more avant-garde than previous models, giving Samsung an edge.

The Next 3nm Chip & Isocell HP3 Camera Sensor

As this was not enough, Samsung also has its hands full of the mass volume production of 3-nm GAA memory chip to deal with. However, it doesn’t seem that Samsung can equip its next flagship with Isocell HP3 or the 3-nm chip, which is way far in the future, but it will devote its time focusing on its manufacturing & production as it will shape the future of the Organization.

Perhaps Samsung is going to change the trend & launch a new flagship or an unannounced device with major changes accompanying OneUI 5.1 & 5.1.1.
