Samsung is following its policy of Android updates very strictly, so the company has put out some devices from the Android 13 update. As you know, Samsung has released some official statements that describe Android updates over a couple of years; the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 have also been introduced under the older policy, which says that the device launched under that season will be eligible for the 3 Android updates.

Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 will not get Android 13

As you know, all the Galaxy S10 series devices (including Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy S10 Plus )and Galaxy Note 10 series devices (including Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 10 5G, Galaxy Note 10 Plus and Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G) were launched in 2019 and came with Android 9 pie on board, and according to the policy these phones got three android updates and then got automatically disqualified for further Android updates.

All these devices still have hardware capabilities that easily handle the Android 13 update, but irrespective of that, Samsung has prioritized its policy and kept these limited to Android 12. However, the Korean giant also mentioned five-year security updates for its Galaxy devices, so the above-mentioned devices are still eligible for some security updates in the future. Samsung will also give new features for the devices with the monthly update.

Moreover, The company wants to make its customers feel that now their devices have become obsolete and that they are now capable of new updates, so they switch to new phones. Additionally, if you are a smartphone Geek and a Samsung flagship fan, you can think of buying Samsung Galaxy S23, which will be available in early February.
