Samsung is on fire nowadays; the company is rapidly expanding the January 2023 update for Galaxy devices, continuing the streak. The Korean giant is now rolling out the update for Galaxy A12 devices in the US.

The unlocked variant of the Galaxy A12 is now grabbing the January 2023 security update; it can be identified through the build number A125U1UES5CWA2. The update is currently rolling out in the US on several networks, including AT&T, Cricket, Comcast, Cellular South, Dish, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile.

As said earlier, the update brings January 2023 security patch, which fixes several security vulnerabilities. The security update is a regular monthly update that Google releases for Android smartphones, but if we talk about Galaxy devices, Samsung has added some more security patches with Google, which are exclusively available for its devices.

Moreover, the update doesn’t include any new features; it’s only focused on enhancing the device’s security. It may also carry some minor features that enhance the performance and stability of the device.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A12 smartphone in 2020 with Android 10 preinstalled. The company has promised to give two major Android OS updates and then fulfilled them by updating the device to Android 12. However, the device is not eligible for further Android updates, but the device will get security updates for the next two years.
