Carrier-locked Samsung Galaxy S21 gets January 2023 update in the US

Recently, Samsung released the January 2023 security update for carrier-locked and unlocked units of the Galaxy S21 series in the US. While the devices affiliated with T-Mobile received the update with build numbers G991USQS5DWA5, G996USQS5DWA5, and G998USQS5DWA5 for Galaxy S21 general, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra, respectively, however, the unlocked variant already received the update a few days ago.

If we talk about the January 2023 security patch update in detail, the update doesn’t carry any new features; it just comes with some patches, which are included by Samsung and Google together, that address several security vulnerabilities.
