Samsung updates Galaxy A12 Nacho, and Galaxy A03s with January 2023 security patch

Last month Samsung updated its two entry-level phones with an Android 13 update, including the Galaxy A12 nacho and Galaxy A03; both devices target the low-budget market, and the company is now rolling out the latest security update for the devices in the form of January 2023.

Notably, the latest update for Galaxy A12 Nacho is currently rolling out in more than twenty countries, including France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Spain, and the UK. It comes with version number A127FXXS7CWA1; the Galaxy A03s is receiving the latest update firmware version A037GXXS2CWA3, and it is now available in more than fifty countries, including France and the UK.

The Galaxy A12 Nacho and Galaxy A03s were released in August 2021 and come with Android 11 preinstalled. At the time of launch, Samsung promised to offer both devices to support the Android updates up to Android 13, and as you know, these devices have recently grabbed the update, and now they are no longer eligible for any further Android updates. However, the devices are still eligible to get security support for three more years.

If you are a Galaxy A12 nacho or Galaxy A03s user, you will get a notification regarding the new update, but if any chance you didn’t get the update notification yet, you can also check it manually by following the given steps:

  • Go to the device settings
  • Then click on the software updates button
  • Now tap on download and install 
  • wait until the search is finished,
  • If it shows the security update is available, tap on the install button, 
  • It will start downloading and get installed automatically.
