Samsung rolls out February 2023 update to Unlocked Galaxy S20 in the US ahead of One UI 5.1

Samsung, the South Korean tech giant, has recently released its latest software update for the Unlocked Galaxy S20 variant in the United States. The update, which is dated February 2023, brings a range of new features and improvements to the device’s performance and security. 

This update has been rolled out to the Unlocked Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra before the One UI 5.1 release, which is expected to arrive in the coming weeks. With this update, Samsung aims to enhance the user experience and ensure that its devices remain up-to-date with the latest software advancements.

The February 2023 update also includes the latest security patch for the Unlocked Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices. Users can identify the update by the build number G981U1UES3GWA2 for Galaxy S20, G986U1UES3GWA2 for Galaxy S20 Plus, and G988U1UES3GWA2 for Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The latest update for the Galaxy S220 series gets the Android February 2023 security patch, and notes include fixes for several high-impact vulnerabilities, including five critical, 43 High, 0 moderate & 8 Already included in previous updates, also 4 Not applicable to Samsung devices. Moreover, Samsung has addressed some security loopholes and variabilities in several functions and apps such as WindowManagerService, UwbDataTxStatusEvent, Secure Folder, Phone application, Contacts, Fingerprint, etc.
