New Generation for Samsung SmartTag

Informatively, SmartTag is Samsung’s object tracker and key finder service. Recently some reports suggested that Samsung is planning to unveil an updated version of this SmartTag service. The South Korean firm is currently working on the next generation of its Galaxy Z foldable series. Rumours about these upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 started to appear on the internet. Some reports suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device doesn’t seem to get any improvements in its Camera. Previously it was assumed that the device might feature Galaxy S23 Ultra’s 200MP HP2 sensor, but things ain’t going that way.

The issue with having this new sensor in the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device is that the HP2 sensor debuted with the Galaxy S23 Ultra device and it seems that it will be exclusive to the Galaxy S23 Ultra device only. The previous Galaxy Z Fold 4 device has the 50MP GN3 sensor in it and it seems that the upcoming foldable will also have the same with no improvements.

As per the expectation, Samusng will organize an Unpacked Event to unveil these Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 devices in the third quarter of the year, most probably on August 2023. In the same event, Samsung will unveil the next-gen SmartTag, Galaxy Watch 6 series, and Galaxy Buds 3 as well.
