According to a recent tweet from the reliable tipster chunvn8888, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5 is set to feature an upgraded 12MP main sensor, promising even better camera performance for users. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is rumoured to share the same camera hardware as its predecessors, the Galaxy S23+ and Fold 4.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5’s outer display will always remain the same

In August 2023, the South Korean firm Samsung is expected to organize this year’s 2nd Unpacked Event, on which the company will showcase the next generation of its Galaxy Z foldable lineup. The series will contain two devices, as usual, Gal axy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5

. Out of both of these devices, the Galaxy Z Fold is the most praised one. We often get rumors about it, and recently, some others have also joined this league.

As per the well-known tipster Ice Universe, the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 5 device will get nearly zero changes in its external screen. The tipster suggested that the device will feature a previous-like 6.2” display panel, which means there won’t be a wider panel in this upcoming device. However, the devices do get some improvements in other aspects, such as the hinge quality and storage chips. 

Informatively, the company will use a new waterdrop type of hinge system in the Galaxy Z Fold 5 device, which will let the device fold completely without leaving any gap between both sides of the device. This new hinge type has been initially named dumbbell. Besides, this year’s foldable will use the new USF 4.0 storage chips in them instead of the old USF 3.1. Only the Galaxy Z Flip 5 device will feature a USF 3.1 chip.
