Carrier locked Galaxy S23 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G updated to March 2023 patch in the US

Samsung is updating its device with a new security patch in March 2023. The company has updated several high-end devices, till it seems that the Korean giant will release the update before the month’s end.

Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 2 get March 2023 Update in the USA

The latest update is currently rolling out in the US; the carrier-locked variants of Galaxy S23 devices are receiving updates on several networks, including Comcast, Metro PCs, US Cellular, and spectrum mobile. While the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G is getting the update on the Spring network.

Users who own locked variants of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra can identify the new update by the version numbers S911USQS1AWBM, S916USQS1AWBM, and S918USQS1AWBM respectively (UScelluler and Metro Pcs ). While on the spectrum mobile and Xfinity Mobile networks, the update will come with version numbers S911USQS1AWBL, S916USQS1AWBL, and S918USQS1AWBL for Galaxy S23 base, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G is getting the update on the sprint network with version number F916USQS2JWC1, and it is expected that the update will soon be available on other networks. Previously the devices have received the One UI 5.1

Moreover, the March 2023 update is a security patch update that includes several fixes that enhance the overall security of the device; in other words, if you install the latest update, you will get improved security of the device, which will provide safety against external threats.

How to Install

Samsung smartphone users can easily install the latest update by tapping on the notification which is flashing on the top of the notification panel which is saying, “new update is available”, but if you don’t have received the notification yet, so for verification can also check it manually by going to the system settings then click on software update option, now wait until the search finished if the update available hit on Download button.
