Google has a bunch of applications that benefit nearly all Android smartphones out there. Google Messages is also one of these apps and is an extremely helpful and widely used service. Just a few days ago, Samsung has brought RCS branding and read receipt icons to this application, and now they come up with another amazing feature for it, which will make it look even more personalized. So, let’s take a look at it.

Informatively, Google has brought an option to set contact images for conversation threads to its Google Messages application. In simpler words, currently, the app shows you a person’s name in the app bar, but from now on, the application will show the profile picture as well, as we see on other apps such as Facebook Messenger and Telegram. The same image will appear in the main conversation, too, if you open the details page.

However, let us tell you one thing, the Google Messages app will show the contact icon on the left side, unlike the iMessage application, which shows the icon in the center. Not only the contact images options but now the magnifying glass icon has also been changed a bit, and now a ‘Search’ option got its place. Informatively, these new changes have appeared on version 20230313_01_RC00.phone.openbeta_dynamic of this app.
