Samsung has very actively updated its several Galaxy devices with March 2023; this time, the Korean giant has done commendable work. The company successfully expanded two different software updates back to back within a month. In the first one, the company updated the devices with One UI 5.1 update; then, continuing the streak, it rolled out the March 2023 update for the eligible devices.

Notably, the Korean giant has expanded these updates very rapidly across the world, while in the US, the same devices are grabbing the update very lately. The Same is happening with the Galaxy S20 series devices, which are now receiving the March 2023 security patch update on the Verizon network.

It is worth mentioning that only two models of the Galaxy S20 series are receiving the March 2023 update, including Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra, so users who own the locked variant of these devices can identify the latest update by the firmware version numbers G986USQS3HWC3 and G988USQS3HWC3 respectively.

According to the official page Verizon, the latest software update provides the most up-to-date Android security patches for the devices; in other words, the March 2023 update does not bring any additional features, it only includes the latest security patches that fix the known bugs which may be dangerous for the security of the devices.

It is not clear why Verizon has not released the update for the Galaxy S20 base variant. But being a necessary update, the base device will also get the update in the coming days; for information, currently, the Galaxy S20 base variant is running on the One UI 5.1 update and still using the February 2023 security patch.
