As for Samsung, Galaxy devices are eligible to get four and three years of OS updates based on their category. As reports regarding the upcoming One UI 6 and Android 14 are gaining pace, every user started to wonder whether their device will get it or not.
Notably, all the Galaxy devices which are still eligible to get the next Android update will get the upcoming One UI 6 as well. One UI 6 and Android 14 for Galaxy S20, S20 Plus, S20 Ultra?
Informatively, the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra devices, which are currently running on Android 13 and One UI 5, are eligible to get a total of three major OS updates. As these devices were launched with Android 10, they are eligible to get up to Android 13 only. Because the One UI 6 is based on Android 14 and the Galaxy S20 series ain’t getting it, One UI 6 will also be out of the reach of the Galaxy S20 series.
One UI 6 and Android 14 for Galaxy S20 FE?
The same circumstances go for the Galaxy S20’s Fan Edition model as well. Notably, the Galaxy S20 FE device was also launched with Android 10 out of the box and is eligible to get three major OS updates only, which means Android 13 is the end for this FE device too. Consequently, as Android 13 was the last OS update for the Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, and S20 FE devices, there is no chance for them to get the next one.
