Google has done unveiling the Developer Preview 1 and 2 of its next Android version- Android 14. However, the Developer Preview is for GooglePixel devices only, but the OS version will be available for AOSP to be used in all devices, including Samsung’s Galaxy devices. As usual, Samsung will use Android 14 as a base for its next One UI 6, which will make its way to Galaxy devices by August or September.

However, not all Galaxy devices will be able to get the next OS and UI update; only those who are eligible as per Samsung’s latest update policy will get it. If we talk about some popular Galaxy devices, nearly all launched after the Galaxy S21 series (including) will get it. Some famous phones including Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, S20 FE

Will my Galaxy Z Fold 2, Flip 4G, and Flip 5G receive Android 14 One UI 6 update?

Now the confusion appeared for older foldable devices- Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Z Fold 2. Firstly, let us tell you these are the initial foldable phone of the South Korean firm, which were launched back in the year 2020 with Android 10. As per the Update policy, all the aforementioned devices are eligible to get three OS updates, which they already got. Their final and last OS update was the recent Android 13.

Hence, there is no more argument about whether they are getting the next OS update or not. Undoubtedly, as they have already received their final OS updates and are filled up with all eligible updates, there is no way for them to get the next Android 14. Similarly, because One UI 6 will be based on Android 14, these older foldable won’t get this next UI update as well. In simpler words, Android 13 and One UI 5 were the end of their journey, and they won’t get any more OS or UI updates.
