Five useful features that Samsung should adopt from Apple’s iPhone

Compared to other smartphone devices, Apple provides improved Privacy and Security measure. The American multinational is concerned about their device and users’ privacy. Notably, iPhone devices have options such as emergency reset and lock modes. 

In the emergency reset, you can cancel the permissions granted to apps and people, and in the lock mode, incoming messages and connections from unknown people or devices can be blocked, no matter whether they be wired or wireless. 

Besides, in some latest iPhone devices, a very advantageous feature is available, which is nothing but Find My Device. With the help of this feature, you can track your lost iPhone device. In iPhone 14, you can track it while it is off, but iPhone 13 needs to be on.

In the tech world, there are various Password Managers, but Apple has its own Password Manager for iPhone devices, which lets the user save usernames and passwords, and also generate two-factor authentication codes, and is also capable of taking notes. There is no need to worry, as this information will be end-to-end encrypted. 

However, Galaxy phones also have a Google-generated application for two-factor authentication, but it still lacks some advancements, such as you can not check the usernames, passwords, and two-factor authentication code in one place, and you even can’t take notes of their passwords as you can do in iPhones. 

It will be really beneficial and helpful if Google also emerges its built-in password manager and its Authenticator app together to simplify login place and save the time of checking all the relevant information in a single place. 

4. More reliable Software Support

In Galaxy devices, Samsung provides four years of major OS updates and five years of security patch updates which is the most reliable policy amongst Android devices. However, Apple has even stronger and more reliable Software Support. 

As per the XDA-Developer website, Apple offers 6 years of OS updates, which may be increased as well, and more than 6 years of security patch updates. It is, in all ways, better than Samsung as their updates last longer than Galaxy devices. 

Besides, with iOS 16.4, you will get Beta updates on your iPhone device with just a simple switch. Besides, Apple also provides updates regularly, but for other Android devices, sometimes the updates get delayed. It would be really helpful and beneficial if Samsung also adopt the Apple-like update policy and pace. 

5. Automatic cutting objects/Image Clipper function

The iPhone devices have a function that lets you cut out the objects from an image or a video. As for Samsung, the newly-arrived Galaxy S23 series also has a similar Image Clipper function in it, which specifically is a part of the One UI 5.1 update. 

Let us tell you, the Image Clipper function lets you cut out any object from any image and video, which you can save, paste, and share as a standalone app. To cut out the object, all you need to do is long press on the desired object. 

However, it sure is currently limited to the latest flagship only, but Samsung is now making it available to other Galaxy devices as well. As per the reports, the Galaxy S22 and S21 series will get this image clipper function in April.
