Samsung has recently released the April 2023 security patch for its Galaxy S21 series in the US, bringing fixes to over 60 vulnerabilities, some of which are considered critical. While the update does not bring any new features to the table, it provides important security enhancements for carrier-unlocked Galaxy S21 users.

The update is available for carrier-unlocked devices on several networks, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, Verizon, Spectrum Mobile, US Cellular, Sprint, Tracfone, AT&T USA, C-Spire, Cellular South US, Cricket Wireless, and Bluegrass Cellular. However, Samsung has already released the update for carrier-locked models of Galaxy S21 series a couple of days ago.

The build numbers for the update are G991U1UES6EWC9 for the Galaxy S21, G996U1UES6EWC9 for the Galaxy S21+, and G998U1UES6EWC9 for the Galaxy S21 Ultra. Users can check for the update by going to their device’s settings and navigating to the software update section.
