The Korean firm Samsung is currently working on the 6th generation of its One UI, which will be based on Google’s upcoming OS version Android 14. This new One UI version will bring a plate full of novelties and customization features with it. It is obvious for every Galaxy user to wish for this new software, but it is not possible due to the limit of the number of OS and UI updates for any device, no matter if it is a smartphone or tablet.
Informatively, Samsung offers four major OS updates and five years of security updates to some of its premium and mid-range Galaxy devices. Not only Samsung but every device launches with the support of a fixed number of updates. That’s because older hardware can’t bear the load of too many updates and novelties. Hence, the company leaves older devices behind while rolling out any newer software or firmware update.

Nota bene, the company hasn’t revealed any launch date for this new version of One UI, but we are expecting its beta testing to start sometime in August, and the stable version will be launched within two weeks. Informatively, the Galaxy S23 flagship members will be the first ones to get this upcoming update.
