Most of us are familiar with Samsung’s One UI, an exclusive interface used to personalize the look and feel of its gadgets. This UI is not only accessible on Galaxy phones and tablets but also on the company’s smartwatches under the Watch edition. It is anticipated that Google will unveil a new version of the WearOS operating system designed for smartwatches, dubbed WearOS 4, by the end of the year. Certain Samsung watches will receive the new One UI Watch version at the same time as the release of WearOS 4.

Recently, the Samsung team announced the main feature of the One UI 5 Watch, a new version of the Korean giant’s dedicated to its smartwatches which will be released in the coming months.

Samsung’s single-camera phone that made history

The Samsung One UI 5 Watch focused on improving three aspects of the user experience: sleep, fitness tools, and safety.

Starting with the sleep news, the developers have devoted their attention to three features:

  • Improve your understanding of personal sleep patterns through a new SLeep Insights user interface, which allows you to view the user’s sleep score and a clearer snapshot of the night’s rest, complete with the most important metrics.
  • Build healthy habits through Sleep Coaching.
  • Improve connectivity between Galaxy smartwatches and SmartThings-compatible devices, so they can react to Sleep Mode parameters.

Moving to fitness, with a personalized Heart Rate Zone, users can rely on tailored running tools, such as real-time running analysis and a customized interval training schedule (with five levels of optimal workout intensity depending on the needs and abilities of each).

Galaxy Watches that will receive the One UI 5 Watch and WearOS 4

What will be the smartwatches of the giant that will receive the new interface? It is safe to assume that the watches currently moved by WearOS 3 will receive the future version 4 along with the customization of the company One UI 5 Watch, namely…

  • Galaxy Watch 4
  • Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
  • Galaxy Watch 5
  • Galaxy Watch 5 Pro

However, these will not be the only devices of the company to receive the interface update, the future Galaxy Watch 6 series, which is expected to be announced in the second half of the year, should arrive on the market with WearOS 4 and One UI Watch 5 ready to use, or in the worst case shortly after the launch, it depends on when Google will release the new version of the operating.

The One UI 5 Watch beta version is expected to be available to Watch4 and Watch5 users by the end of the month, although Samsung has not yet released accurate information about the countries where the beta test will be possible; we will be sure to keep you updated.
