Samsung has consistently delivered monthly security patches, often even a week ahead of schedule. Continuing this trend, the Samsung Galaxy S23, one of their flagship devices, is now receiving its latest May 2023 security update. The update first appeared in Europe and is now available in the USA.

The latest security patch comes in the form of new firmware, identified by the One UI version S91*USQS1AWC9, and is available for carrier-locked versions of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, including the S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra. This update addresses over 70 security vulnerabilities and is currently being rolled out for the carrier locked by US Celluar & T-Mobile network

There had been rumors that an upcoming update scheduled for May 2023 would enhance the low-light camera capabilities of the Samsung Galaxy S23 devices. However, with a download size of around 200 to 400 MB, there is some uncertainty about whether this is the same update that was previously mentioned. It is possible that Samsung may release another update by the end of the month further to optimize the camera’s performance in low-light conditions.
