Samsung’s Galaxy S21 series devices are getting new security updates. As usual, the update doesn’t carry any innovation but comes with some feature improvements and fixes. The company has rolled out the latest security update very lately.

Initially, the Korean giant served the May 2023 security update for Galaxy S21 series devices in Europe, then expanded it to other international markets. Earlier today, the update became available for the carrier-locked variant of Galaxy S21 in the US; now, the unlocked variant will also enjoy a new security update.

According to the information, the latest update is now available on several network carriers across the US, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, C-Spire, Dish Wireless, Metro PCS, Sprint, Tracfone, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

There are three models available in the Galaxy S21 series, including Galaxy S21(base), Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra. These devices are receiving new updates with different firmware version numbers, G991U1UES6EWD6, G996U1UES6EWD6, and G998U1UES6EWD6, sequentially.

The May 2023 security update comes with several new patches that aim to improve the overall security of Galaxy devices. In some cases, it also brings stability and performance enhancements so users can enjoy their devices.
