Samsung is continuously expanding the May 2023 security update to eligible Galaxy devices, and now it’s rolling out the update to the fan edition for Galaxy S21. The update doesn’t include any attractive innovations or any changes to the UI but brings some fixes to enhance the security of the device. 

For your information, the update includes several patches; Google has added 55 patches that enhance the security of the Android operating system. Along with this, Samsung also packed the update with other bug fixes that resolves the functioning of Galaxy devices.

The unlocked variant of Galaxy S21 FE is getting the new security update in the US with version number G990U1UEU6EWDA. It is now available on several carriers, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, C-Spire, Dish Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

If you own an Unlocked variant of Galaxy S21 FE, then you should get a notification regarding the update. Once you get the notification, tap on it, and you will be redirected to the software update menu; now just tap on Download Now.

Moreover, if you don’t get the notification yet, then you can also check it manually by going to the settings, then tap on the software update, now touch the Download and Install menu, wait for it to finish the search; if it displays any new update then follow the same step and tap on the Download now button.
