Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 series in February 2022, equipped with the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update pre-installed. Each model within the S22 lineup is promised to receive four significant operating system upgrades and a continuous stream of monthly Android security patches for a span of five years.

The Galaxy S22 series was the first among all Galaxy smartphones to receive the latest Android 13-based One UI 5 update. Now, the device is ready to receive the next major OS update, Android 14, which is based on One UI 6.0.

Samsung Galaxy that will not be upgraded to One UI 6.0 with Android 14

Samsung will allow the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra users will have the opportunity to participate in the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 Beta Program, providing them with a chance to test and experience the new features and changes before the Stable release, which is scheduled for later this year.

Furthermore, the Galaxy S23 series will be the pioneer in both the Beta and Stable stages.

One UI 6.0 Android 14 Beta & Stable Update for Galaxy S22 Series

However, based on the release timeframe of the One UI 5.0 update last year, the Galaxy S22 Series will receive the One UI 6.0 update in July or August 2023. The update is anticipated to be available for public rollout within approximately two to three months.
