WhatsApp, the widely-used instant messaging application, constantly undergoes updates to enhance user experience. However, with each update, specific mobile devices lose compatibility, and as of June 1, a refreshed list of unsupported phones will include prominent brands like iPhone, Huawei, ZTE, LG, and even Samsung.

If you possess an outdated phone, the complete discontinuation of WhatsApp on your device may occur unexpectedly. Consequently, you will lose the ability to send messages, retrieve shared stickers or GIFs, receive notifications, send voice messages, or engage in calls or video chats with your contacts.

WhatsApp has announced that after October 24, 2023, it will no longer provide support for Android 4.1. Only users with devices with Android 5.0 or later will be able to use the instant messaging application. Due to the age of certain Samsung phones, as of June 1, WhatsApp will gradually stop working on 6 Galaxy devices that still need to meet the minimum compatibility requirements.
