Samsung currently has more than ten smartphones of the S series, which are frequently receiving monthly security updates, from Galaxy S20 to the latest Galaxy S23 devices. The company is equally focusing on updates for the devices according to the updated policy.

However, sometimes Samsung does little discrimination between the main series and the Fan edition devices, including Galaxy S20FE and Galaxy S21 FE. Most of the time, the new update falls very late to these devices. Like now in the US, the Galaxy S21 main series devices have already got the July 2023 update on several carries.

Now after a week, the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the July 2023 security update. The update is now available on most of the carriers with firmware version number G990U1UES8EWF3

It is also worth noticing that the same update is already available on the Verizon network. And recently, it also expanded to some more networks with different firmware version numbers G990USQS8EWF1 on several networks, including T-Mobile, MetroPCS, US Cellular, and Dish Wireless.

As said earlier, the latest update includes July 2023 security patch; it is one of the general monthly updates that include some enhancements for strengthening the security of the devices. In detail, the update brings 90 security vulnerability fixes which provide more protection against external threats.
