The software update has been initiated for the carrier-locked of the Galaxy Z Flip 5 within the United States, featuring firmware version F731USQS1AWH3. Similarly, the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has undergone a recent update, now operating on firmware version F946USQS1AWH3. This update is accessible for users utilizing Metro PCS and T-Mobile networks.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 with the latest One UI 5.1.1 preinstalled. The update features many new improvements and functions for the foldable; it ultimately gives more optimization to adjust the feature according to the large screen; it was available to enhance the functionalities of the devices; and now these devices receive new security enhancements.

The latest update brings the August 2023 security patch, which brings more than 85 fixes. Of these, 50 were introduced by Google to resolve the vulnerabilities related to the Android OS, and 35 were added by Samsung to eradicate the system loopholes on its Galaxy devices.

The update will be expanded to include unlocked variants in the next few days.
