Samsung has updated several Galaxy devices with the One UI 5.1.1 update; however, it was only limited to the large-screen devices. In the full update, the company has brought several new enhancements to several system apps, but for the Galaxy S21, the company has made only two changes. Let’s know about them.

The Galaxy S21 gets two new One UI 5.1.1 enhancements

With the new update for the Galaxy S21 smartphone, Samsung has made two new changes, like moving the Edit call background menu option to the contact menu. Along with this, the Conversation and Contact tabs are now shifted to the top of the message window, which will provide more convenience while sharing images.

Apart from the changes, Samsung has also brought a new security patch update for the device. Informatively, the new patch is coming in the form of August 2023, which includes more than 80 fixes and mainly enhances the security of the devices.

Moreover, the update may also include some more improvements that ultimately enhance the overall performance and stability of the devices. It is worth noticing that the Galaxy S21 is listed under the category of monthly update, which means it will get a new update every month.

The Verizon-affiliated units of the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra are getting new updates with firmware version numbers G991USQU8EWH6, G996USQU8EWH6, and G998USQU8EWH6, respectively.

The update is available to all the users through OTA, so it may take some time to reach every unit of the available devices, so you may have to wait for some time. You can also check it yourself by going to the system update menu, which you will find under the main system settings.
