The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is the latest Android smartphone in the line-up; it was launched back in October, but it still came with Android 13 onboard. Due to this, the user will get one less major update technically, as it has received its first major update within a month in the form of OneUI 6 and Android 14. Now the device is getting the December 2023 security patch update as a new security update.

Notably, the Galaxy S23 FE device has already received the upd ate in several countries, including the US, but it is limited to some carriers,

and now it is available for Verizon-affiliated devices. Users can easily identify the latest update by the firmware version number, S711USQS1BWL1.

With the latest firmware update, users will not get any significant features or innovations for the devices, but as a security patch update, it will provide a plethora of new fixes that will enhance the overall security of the device, while if we talk about the changelog, it says the device will get some performance and stability improvements.

The Galaxy S23 FE is listed under the monthly security update category, which indicates that Samsung will frequently provide new security updates every month. As the device was launched recently, it will get several updates until 2028. In between updates it will also get some OneUI upgrades as well.

If you are using Verizon-locked Galaxy S23 FE devices in the US, then you can easily update it manually. First,  open the system settings, then tap on the software update menu and touch the download and install option. Now,  wait for some time to finish the searching. If it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.
