Carrier-locked Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A02s get December 2023 update in the US

Samsung is continuously rolling out the December 2023 security patch to several Galaxy devices, but as the company has a large number of devices in its catalog, some eligible devices are still remaining that are gradually getting new updates, such as the Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A11.

According to the information, both of the locked variants of Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A11 are getting a new update in the form of a December 2023 security patch. More specifically, both of the devices have been spotted getting on some carriers, including Verizon and US Cellular. The Verizon-affiliated variants of the Galaxy A11 and Galaxy A02 are getting new updates with firmware version numbers A115USQSACWL2 and A025VSQS5CWL1, respectively.

Meanwhile, on the other carrier, these devices are getting new updates with the version numbers A115USQSACWL2 and A025USQS4CWL1 sequentially. As previously mentioned, it is a security update, so don’t expect any new features or innovations for the device.

The December 2023 update is one of the parts of the Android security maintenance program, which is powered by Google. With the latest update, there are more than 60 new fixes included, which were added by Google and Samsung. From them, there are 50 fixes that were added by Google, and another 15 fixes were added by Samsung for the betterment of Galaxy devices.

If you are also using the Galaxy A11 or Galaxy A02s in the US, now you can easily update them by following some simple steps: First, open the system settings, then tap on the software update menu and touch the download and install option. Wait for some time to finish the searching; if it shows a new update available, then tap on the download button.
