Breaking: One UI 6.1 arrives on Galaxy Tab S7 FE in the US

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Tab S7 FE back in 2021; it came with Android 11 preinstalled, and later it grabbed three more major updates in the form of Android 12 and Android 13, and Android 14. With all these updates, the device is now no longer eligible to get any major updates, and after getting the One UI 6.1 update, it will not be able to get any significant updates.
Notably, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE has received the One UI 6.1 update in the US; more specifically, the update is spotted on Verizon-locked units of the devices. It is coming with the firmware version number T738USQU8DXE1. It is worth noticing that the device is still using the February 2024 security patch. It is expected to be expanded to more carriers in the next few days.
One UI 6.1 features: what’s new?
According to the official changelog shared on Verizon’s official page, the latest update for the Galaxy Tab S7 FE will provide a new catalog of features that will ensure new functions on your device with the firmware version. new features, like providing new battery protection features to extend your battery’s lifespan, Clock: customize alarms and add backgrounds with your images. Gallery: copy from one image, paste in another
Apart from this, the update has also focused on bringing more call and message continuity. Now, the Samsung account family groups allow you to easily share things with loved ones and create accounts for your kids. Once you create a family group, you will get access to exclusive family sharing and parental control features in Samsung apps.
