Samsung debuts Galaxy Chromebook Plus with AI-enhanced productivity

Samsung debuted its brand-new sleekest and lightest Chromebook Plus. It features a decent design, great specifications, and AI enhancements including the Recorder app, Live Translate, and more.

Samsung unveils its new super-thin Galaxy Chromebook Plus, which features a large 15.6-inch OLED display with 400 nits of brightness. It measures 11.8 mm and weighs 1.17 kg. It is based on an Intel Core 3 100U (Raptor Lake-R) CPU.

The memory package includes 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The newly launched Galaxy Chromebook Plus relies on Google’s cloud-based applications for its functionality. While it seems that it may not have a similar processing power to Windows-based Galaxy Book laptops, it should be sufficient for most tasks.

Samsung recently launched its new tablet series, the Galaxy Tab S10 series, which features a dedicated Galaxy AI button. Similar to that, the Galaxy Chromebook Plus also has a redesigned keyboard with quick AI access. Its keyboard layout replaces the Launcher key with a new Quick Insert button.

This Quick Insert key authorizes convenient access to the latest AI-centric ChromeOS and Google features, such as Gemini AI, emojis, and more. It also includes Focus, Welcome Recap, Live Translate, enhanced microphones and camera performance, and automatic transcriptions in the Recorder app. Noticeably, these enhancements will be available for all video calls, including Google Meet.
