One UI 7 Beta Officially Announced, Stable Update Won’t Arrive Soon

Finally, Samsung announced it’s awaiting the Android 15-based One UI 7 beta version for developers at the Samsung Developers Conference 2024 in San Jose.

When Samsung Galaxy fans, especially the Galaxy S24 series audience, were excitedly waiting for the next and most anticipated One UI 7 version, which significantly got delayed due to several unfinished issues and developments, the company has made it official that the new One UI 7 stable is prepared to launch with the upcoming Galaxy S25 series next year.

Samsung Announces One UI 7 Beta, But Stable Version Still a Long Way Off

It’s official! Samsung is going to launch the stable version of its next One UI software, One UI 7, with the latest upcoming flagships, the Galaxy S25 lineup, while the One UI 7 beta will be available to the developers before this year ends.

As scheduled, the company has successfully conducted this year’s SDC24 proceedings in San Jose, California, unveiling the collaborative innovations with the most advanced techniques and providing a more personalized and secure experience with the latest multi-device AI technology.

Samsung has done its SDC24 event, at which it offered a sneak peek at what One UI 7 is all about. It was announced that the One UI 7 beta version will be released for developers by the end of this year. This suggests that the stable version of the update will be released sometime in early 2025.

Meanwhile, the Galaxy S25 series is supposed to debut in early 2025, so it could be the first device to run One UI 7 out of the box.

During the conference, Samsung confirmed that the One UI 7 will be focused on three main design elements:

  • Simplicity: the user interface aims at intentional simplicity.
  • Incisiveness: the interface is intended to create a new distinctive feature.
  • Emotionality: new blur effects and interface changes are designed to generate a positive emotional response in users.

The noticeable three core design elements for the One UI 7 are simple, impactful, and emotive. The ‘Simple’ stands to aim for purposeful simplicity across the UI. The ‘Impactful’ is to create a new signature impression for One UI, and the ‘Emotive’ is dedicated to creating UI elements, like a new blur engine, that create a positive emotional response from users.

However, still, Samsung hasn’t announced anything regarding the One UI 7 beta for users. But somewhere, it was expected that it could release the beta version for users alongside the developer version. It remains to be seen whether the stable version of the One UI 7 will be worth the wait.
