Samsung has just rolled out its third One UI 7-based beta update for the Galaxy S24 devices with the January 2025 security patch, and at the same time, the company has also officially published the details about the January 2025 patch coming for more eligible devices.
Samsung adds 22 fixes exclusively for Galaxy devices
Samsung’s January 2025 update will boost its device security; in detail, more than 51 patches have been introduced that enhance the overall security of the devices. Google has addressed 29 patches that are applicable to Samsung devices. Here five are marked as critical, and 24 are marked as high priority. Additionally, the company’s own team has added 22 more patches to enhance the overall security of the devices exclusively.
Along with this, the update also brought new updates for several built-in Galaxy applications, including Blockchain Keystore, Galaxy Store, Samsung Email, Easy Setup, Secure Folder, Samsung Members, and many more.
Moreover, the January 2025 patch is a general security patch that doesn’t bring any significant visual changes or important features for devices, but it will ensure that your device is protected against external changes. However, for individual devices, the update may also bring minor changes according to the requirements.
It is worth noticing that the company has also removed three devices from the security update eligibility list, including the Galaxy A12, A02s, and Galaxy W21 5G.
