Galaxy S25 Ultra might skip Google’s Find My Device feature

The countdown for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S series, the S25, has already begun, with several rumors pointing towards the launch to be conducted on 22nd January, 2025, at the Galaxy Unpacked event. Earlier, a leak hinted that the Ultra model of the Galaxy S25 lineup will boost the high-speed UFS 4.0 storage. Now, it’s been heard that the Galaxy S25 Ultra might not feature Find My Device support when powered down.
According to the Android Authority a new code has just been spotted ro.bluetooth.finder.supported=false that significantly suggests that the next Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra might not support the crucial Find My Device feature when it’s powered down (turned off).
This is certainly disappointing, as Google has already implemented this feature in its latest Pixel 9 series. Basically, the new Find My Device feature is a significant aspect that eventually allows users to track and locate their smartphones via a dedicated app even when it’s offline. This works when the user’s Android phone sends its location signals securely to help its owners find it while the phone is offline.
Being the Ultra model in the Samsung Galaxy S25 series, users highly expect that the S25 Ultra will be one of its kind. Although previous leaks don’t sound interesting, the unit will hold the same screen resolutions as the S24 Ultra; however, the biggest boost might come in the brightness factor, where the phone could feature up to 3,000 in higher brightness mode.
Alternatively, if the leak of the Galaxy S25 Ultra not supporting the Find My Device feature when it’s offline is to be believed, then the S25 Ultra model might not be topped up with one of the most crucial factors. But still, there’s some more time left for the official launch; users need to wait and watch, anyways.
