One UI 7 Beta Rollout Slows for Galaxy S24: Bad News for Older Galaxy Phones?

Spread the love

Although Samsung Galaxy S24 series owners get rejoiced with the Android 15-based One UI 7 version, which is currently available for beta testing, other non-Galaxy S24 users seem to be disappointed by Samsung’s weird strategy, anyway. This ultimately results in the slowing down of the beta rollout and is currently only confined to the S24 lineup.

Recently, it’s been reported that Samsung’s older Galaxy models, including the S23, S22, and S21, alongside other A series units, may not be given the opportunity to test One UI 7 beta, pointing towards a totally different approach of Samsung that might involve dropping the beta stages and providing a stable version, straightforward and comparatively early.

Even after releasing the One UI 7 beta program in the beginning of December, the testing phase is still only limited to the higher-end Galaxy S24 lineup so far. This could possibly hint that the company might be planning to continue with certain beta versions for Galaxy S24 models while aiming to straightly distribute stable One UI 7 versions for the other older Galaxy devices.

While the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 is already confirmed to come pre-installed on the upcoming Galaxy S25 series at the end of next month, Samsung might plan not to continue with the beta phases for older Galaxy models to avoid further delay, as already the company is too late to get into the normal stable rollout schedule for its Galaxy devices.

Does the slowing down of One UI 7 Beta in any way impact older Galaxy models?

The quick answer to this question is YES or NO! As already mentioned above, Samsung may not be in the mood to consider rolling out the One UI 7 beta for non-Galaxy S24 models; the slowing down of the beta version for Galaxy S24 owners will not create any impact on other older Galaxy devices.

They will be receiving the stable build directly; thus, this approach will reduce the further delay of those devices first getting the beta phase, then followed by the stable one.
