Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Display to have More Power Efficient and Brighter

Samsung is supposed to debut the next-generation Galaxy S26 series next year, and the Ultra variant of the series, Galaxy S26 Ultra, is expected to be equipped with an innovative OLED screen.

Presently Samsung is all set to debut the Galaxy S25 series later this month and is supposed to debut the Galaxy S26 series in early 2026. The future Galaxy S26 series is anticipated to include three variants: Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Galaxy S26 Ultra to Adopt CoE Technology for Smarter Power Use and Brighter Screens

A new report from TheElec revealed that Samsung is looking forward to equipping the Galaxy S26 Ultra with a Color Filter on Encapsulation (CoE) OLED screen, which helps to make the smartphone thinner, more vibrant, and power-efficient. If the report comes true, then the Galaxy S26 Ultra will be the first bar-type device equipped with Samsung’s CoE display technology.

Initially, Samsung introduced the CoE screen with the Galaxy Z Fold 3 back in 2021. The currently latest Galaxy Z Fold 6 also features an OLED screen featuring Color Filter on Encapsulation technology.

Samsung Display also supplies CoE OLEDs to smartphone manufacturers, including Xiaomi, Vivo, Google, and more. However, it’s early to discuss the Galaxy S26, but reports have already started teasing regarding the device. It will be interesting to see what new novelties the Galaxy S26 will bring.
