Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6 and Z Fold Special Edition receiving January 2025 Security Update

Samsung has now started delivering the January 2025 security update to the other Galaxy devices while also focusing on pushing the latest Android 15-based One UI 7 beta 3 version for the Galaxy S24 series.

A couple of days ago, the company delivered the latest security patch for the Galaxy S24 series owners who have not enrolled in the beta testing phase. Recently, the new January 2025 security update has now reached the Galaxy 6th generation foldables, Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, alongside Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition units.

The first software update as the January 2025 security patch for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 is currently rolling out in South Korea. The update for the units can be recognized with their detectable build numbers: F956NKSS2AXLF and F741NKSS2AXLF.

Alternatively, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition units are also getting the same update, carrying the F958NKSS2AXLF version number. 

As detailed, Samsung’s latest Android security bulletin for the January month is filled with several fixes for all the security vulnerabilities that have been addressed in the previous version in order to offer a safe and secure user experience while also protecting the device against various potential threats and risks.

Apart from this, the patch also brings certain performance optimizations, adds stability to the overall system behavior, applies all the latest security patches, and delivers much-improved features that aim to deliver an improved, stable, and more optimized experience.
