Samsung to integrate ChatGPT with its Smart TVs soon

Samsung is planning to add an extra layer of advancement to its Smart TVs by offering ChatGPT features to enhance the entertainment experience.

According to the report by Tech Radar (News18), Samsung could collaborate with OpenAI to develop an AI-powered TV. The aim behind this collaboration is to help Samsung maintain its dominant position in the TV market.

Reportedly, ChatGPT might be efficient for Samsung to offer real-time audio and subtitle translations and also allow customers to request personalized healthcare advice. This new integration could also permit users to instruct OpenAI’s chatbot to record a program or find something on a streaming service.

Currently, Samsung Smart TVs run TizenOS and offer various AI features, such as AI upscaling, AI Sound, and the newly introduced Vision AI, which transforms screens into smart companions that enhance entertainment and simplify interactions.

On the other side, Google is also planning to integrate Gemini AI into its Google TV operating system, which will launch by the end of this year. It’s expected that Samsung will debut its ChatGPT-integrated Smart TVs sometime in the second half of the year.

Currently, Samsung is all set to host the Galaxy Unpacked event to debut the Galaxy S25 series and more devices.
