One UI 7.0 Arrives Early on This Budget Galaxy Phone—Flagships Still Waiting

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy F06 5G, one of the most affordable 5G smartphones, in the Indian market, which comes pre-installed with One UI 7.

The Korean tech giant introduced the stable Android 15-based One UI 7 on the newly launched Galaxy S25 series and has yet to expand the update to its older flagship Galaxy smartphones. Meanwhile, the company launched its latest but cheapest smartphone Galaxy F06 in India that runs on Android 15-based One UI 7 out of the box.

The smartphone features a 6.74-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution. The company offered a dual camera setup that includes a 50MP main and a 2MP depth sensor, and on the front side, an 8MP selfie camera is housed.

Samsung used the Dimensity 6300 chipset to power the Galaxy F06 and made it available in two memory variants, including 4GB & 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The 4GB + 128GB variant costs only INR 9,499 ($110), while the 6GB of RAM variant price is INR 10999 ($126).

Despite its low price, the Galaxy F06 is the first smartphone to come pre-installed with One UI 7, following the recent launch of the flagship Galaxy S25 series. The older flagship Galaxy devices, including Galaxy S24, Galaxy S23, and more, are in the pipeline to receive the stable One UI 7 update. The company’s timeline for rolling out the update to older flagship smartphones remains uncertain.
