Galaxy S26 Series may not come with major battery upgrades

Samsung is supposed to debut the Galaxy S26 series early next year and the Ultra variant of the lineup is not anticipated to feature a massive battery upgrade.

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series will include three variants: Galaxy S26 Ultra, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26. The company has yet to reveal any official details regarding the specifications and features of the Galaxy S26, while leaks and rumors already started blowing up in the market.

A few days back, it was reported that Samsung could offer a massive battery upgrade to the Galaxy S26 Ultra by offering a capacity between 6,000 mAh and 7,000 mAh battery. Now a reliable tipster, Panda Flash on X, shared a text post, strongly claiming that the Korean tech giant is not planning to offer a 7000mAh or even a 6000mAh battery to the Galaxy S26 Ultra.

This means that the Galaxy S26 Ultra will not meet the massive battery upgrade. According to a tipster, the internal Samsung Test Lab only seems to have a capacity of Max 5500mAh.

Previously, it was also reported that Samsung is planning to use silicon carbon-based batteries in its next-generation Galaxy S26 devices, which is anticipated to set a new benchmark in the market.

However, there’s no official information word regarding the Galaxy S26 Ultra battery capacity, so it will be interesting to see whether this report will come true.
