Samsung hits a new milestone in the development of its next Exynos 2600 chipset; this news comes after the setback in delays in Exynos 2500 production for Galaxy Z Flip 7 devices. It looks like the company is fully prepared to unveil its Exynos-powered flagships next year; here we are talking about the Galaxy S26, which probably come with 2nm Exynos 2600 SoC.

Samsung achieves 30% yield efficiency in Exynos 2600 production

Samsung has heavily invested in the chips segment, and it is constantly working hard to give competition to other competitors like TSMC, but due to the high prices and low yield rate, the company continuously loses big orders.

Due to the low-efficiency production, the company has also dropped the idea of introducing its flagship devices like the Galaxy S23, S24, and S25 series and other foldables and partnered with Qualcomm for powering its devices.

But now, according to the report, TheBell, Samsung has managed to achieve a 30% yield rate in the 2nm Exynos 2600. This is solid progress that makes the company more likely to introduce it with the Galaxy S26 devices.

In detail, the 2nm process is able to bring a 12% increase in performance, and at the same time, it brings 25% power efficiency and a 5% reduction in chip area as compared to the previous generation 3nm process.

These results demonstrate significant improvements over the prior orders, and the company anticipates growing its foundry division’s customer base.

At the same time, it is good for its own products, as if it delivers the Galaxy S26 units with in-house Exynos chipsets, then it will get more control over the pricing, and we could get the price drop in the next flagship devices
